Mzbel And Abrewa Nana Paved The Way For Female Artistes

Ruth Nana Serwaa Nyame popularly known as Eno Barony has showered praises on Mzbel and Abrewa Nana for paving the way for female musicians in Ghana.

In a post she shared on Instagram, she recounted how her father used to change the television channel whenever Mzbel or Abrewa Nana were being aired.

According to Eno she admired the works of the two and had always dreamt of being like them someday but her father’s pastoral work posed a challenge to her, thus she found it difficult to speak to her father about her passion for music.

But the thought of her two role models facing the similar opposition strengthen her to go for her desire.

Growing up I use to watch tv a lot and I fell in love with these two women I didn’t hav the chance to learn their songs cuz anytime they appeared my dad will change the channel but their names and rhythms got stuck in my head It’s either I’ll sing 🎶mate odo filla filla ama me da mentumi 3nda 3nda 🎶 or 🎶 fama me fa w) me fa shi me wo wu wo me ntumi nko ooo awoso me And I wanted to be them when I grow up but there was no way u cld tell ur father that cuz all parents want to hear professions like doctor ,lawyer etc Their music journey wasn’t easy but yet they survived on the surface and paved a way for we the young ones to follow and as we celebrate mothers this week I celebrate u two @abrewa_nana @mzbeldaily #musicmothers #livinglegends
